Beautiful strand of Black Coral from Yemen. Yemen silver smiths have a long tradition of nailing tiny silver nails into black coral beads, and these are excellent examples of that art form. The beads are often made in malas or prayer bead strands. This strand is light and the whole thing is well finished off.

This strand measures 18 inches long. The long center bead measures 9 mm in diameter and 37 mm tall. The oval beads each measure about 10 mm in diameter and 11 mm long. The strand weighs 53.10 g total. With four coral tube beads.
